Forgotten Your Username or Password?

How to recover your username and/or reset your password.

Why is it Important?

Users sometimes forget their username and/or password, especially if it's been a while since they last logged in to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal.  

It's important for users to try to recover their login credentials using the instructions in this article before submitting a ticket to the Help Desk so they are able to log in to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal as soon as possible.

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

  1. Go to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal Login page
  2. Click on "Forgotten your username or password?" 

 

  1.  Do one of the following:

a) Enter your username and click "Search".

 

b) Enter the email address associated with your account and click "Search". 

Do not enter your username and email address at the same time.

  1. A message will appear informing you that if you supplied a correct username or email address, an email has been sent to you. 
  2. Click "Continue".
If you supplied a correct username or unique email address then an email should have been sent to you. It contains easy instructions to confirm and complete this password change. If you do not receive an email, please submit a ticket in the Wildland Fire Learning Portal Help Center (https://wflms.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) to request password assistance. Do not create a new account if you believe you may already have one. Creating a second account for an existing user may result in one or both accounts being deleted.

You will receive an email within 10-15 minutes from noreply@wildlandfirelearningportal.net titled "Wildland Fire Learning Portal: Password reset request".

  • The email will be sent to the email address listed in your profile.
  • If you do not see the email in your inbox, check your spam and/or junk mail folder.
  • If you do not receive the email within 15 minutes after submitting your password reset request, please submit a ticket to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal Help Center.

 

  1. Open the email and click on the link or copy the link to a Chrome browser tab. The link will take you to the "Set password" page.

 

The "Set password" page will show you your username and instructions for creating a valid new password.

If you only forgot your username, write down the username listed and click "Cancel".

 

  1. Follow the instructions for creating a valid new password. If needed, write down the username listed.
  2. Click "Save changes".

 

If you don't have access to the email account associated with your Wildland Fire Learning Portal account to be able to reset your password, submit a ticket to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal Help Center. In your ticket/request, include your username and the email address that is listed in your profile.
