Topic: How to change your password

Why is this Important? For security purposes, you will be asked to change your password every 60 days. You are able to change your password more frequently if you choose.

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

How do I change my password? 

1. Log into your Wildland Fire Learning Portal account.

2. Click on your profile picture or the arrow next to it located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

3. Select "Preferences".

4. Select "Change password".

 

5. Enter your current password.

6. Type your new password.

7. Type your new password again.

8. Click "Save changes".

Password: ensure that you include:

• at least 1 upper case letter
• at least 1 lower case letter
• at least 1 number
• at least 1 special character such as: ! or *
• at least 12 characters

How often should a user change their password?

The Learning Portal will ask you to change your password every 60 days. This can be as simple as changing one character (letter, number, symbol). It will not allow 3 characters that are the same in a row: John.bbb2cool! would not be accepted since there are 3 "b" in a row.
