Course Completion Status Block

The Course Completion Status Block is a block that shows:

a) That Course completion conditions have been set.

b) What conditions must be met in order for the course to be marked as complete.

Why is it Important?

Course completion status block is not = to Completion progress block.

Pulls data from Course Completion conditions settings.

In order for Learner to see it/have access to it, block must be added by Editing Trainer.

 

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

1) Log in to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal and go to a course you are enrolled as and Editing Trainer in.

2) At the top left of your screen, toggle "Edit Mode" to on.

3) Open the block drawer (the gray half-circle on the right side of the page).

4) Select "Add a block"

 

5) The "Add a block" pop-up will appear. Scroll down and select "Course completion status".

6) You should now see the "Course completion status" block next to your course.

 

If Course Completion conditions have not been set, Learners, Trainers, and Editing Trainers for the course will see the message "No completion criteria set for this course" in the Course completion status block.

Once Course Completion conditions have been set, Trainers and Editing Trainers for the course will see the message "You are currently not being tracked by completion in this course" and there will be a "View course report" link. Clicking on the "View course report" link will take you to the Course completion report.

Once Course Completion conditions have been set, Learners (and you if you switch your role to Learner) will see their course completion "Status", a brief overview of the required criteria, and a "More details" link.

Clicking on the "More details" link, will show the Learner their Completion progress details.
